The International Mobile Gaming Awards launches its fourth edition in the MENA region
The call for entries is now open for the 4th IMGA MENA competition. For the fourth consecutive year, the IMGA edition that celebrates the best mobile games made in the Middle East and North African region is open for submissions. The IMGA invites all talented game makers – indie developers, studios, publishers, students and researchers – based in the MENA region, to submit mobile and VR games. The competition is free, and entrants may submit multiple games for consideration.
This competition is being made possible by a partnership with Zain, the leading mobile network operator in the Region, and Maysalward, a leading mobile game development and publishing company. The judging session and the ceremony will be held during the Jordan Gaming Summit in November 2019, in Amman. Winners will also be nominated for the 16th IMGA edition, scheduled to take place in 2020.
“Last year Flipping Filip, by Deedema won the Grand Prize at the 3rd IMGA MENA and also walked away with the Jury’s Honorable Mention at our Global Competition. This clearly shows the high-quality games coming out of the Region, who can compete with the rest of the world. We are looking forward to seeing further successes in our 4th year in MENA ” said the IMGA CEO Maarten Noyons.
Zain Jordan Chief Executive Officer Fahad AlJasem commented: “We are looking forward to the coming IMGA MENA competition which is held for the fourth year in a row at Amman, as it will shed light on the development of the level of gaming industry in the Middle East and in Jordan in particular during the past four years. We are proud of our partnership with IMGA which contributes to helping young Jordanian talents to promote their innovative ideas on local and global levels.”
MENA game developers, studios and publishers from the MENA region are invited to enter their best mobile and VR games before September 30, 2019. Submissions are free and can be done at mena.imgawards.com. Eligible games have to be published after May 2018 or yet to be published – downloadable in a playable version.
